APEX 4.0 and jQuery Modal Dialog

Couple of months back I posted how to create jQuery Modal Form in APEX 3.2
Here is the link for the same : jQuery Modal Form

Recently APEX 4.0 has been released and the good news is that it includes jQuery and jQuery-ui. Now, there is no need to put a reference to jQuery , jQuery-ui and the corresponding css file.

I created a sample page show how to create jQuery Modal Form in APEX 4.0 in
jQuery Modal Form in APEX 4.0

If you want to see the code , send a mail to and i will send you the credential.

  1. Could you please provide me details of how to add a jQuery model form in Apex 4.0. I have also sent you an email to you.

    I have a tabular form and on click of one of the column value I am opening another page as a popup window as follows:

    function modalWin(emp_id,user_name)
    if (window.showModalDialog){
    else {“f?p=&APP_ID.:11.:&SESSION.:POP:NO::P11_EMP_ID:”+emp_id+”::P11_USER_NAME:”+user_name+”:”,”name”,”height=400,width=600,toolbar=no,directories=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=no ,modal=yes”);

    I want to open this like the one you showed with Jquery Modal form in apex 4.0 demo.

    Is it possible to have another page as a jquery dialogue; if yes how do I pass values from parent page record value to the child page.

  2. Hi Shijesh,

    I would love to see the code you used on the jQuery Modal Form in APEX 4.0 example applaciation.
    I hope you will mail the credentials or the application export to me.

    Kind regards,
    Kees Vlek.
